![]() Joy and Stress Being a mom brings a lot of joy. It fills your life and it is a mission nature has prepared and actually built you for. And you know it, there is also a lot of stress. Lots of demands constantly all at the same time. Wouldn't it be good to have an easy way to lessen the daily stress load?... Motherhood in four phases
Now I am not a child development expert or the like. But from the point of view of stress management there seem to be four phases in being a mom. Pregnancy through childbirth: this is an exciting and wonderful time. Yet be aware that any stress you experience is also experienced by the little life developing in your tummy. The stress hormones go right through your placenta. They affect the developing baby like it is its own stress. Newborn to kindergarten: Whether you are a stay at home mom or you work and your baby is in somebody else's care, it is constantly on your mind. You have to react within minutes if something goes wrong. But natural stress management can help you in two ways. You can reduce your own stress and now you can also help the baby reduce its stress. If you don't, both of you will have a harder time than necessary. Your stress will go up exponentially. First grade through high school graduation: Now your child is growing up to be independent. They slowly establish their own personality. You worry about their success in school. While you have more freedom and time for yourself and your work any crisis hits you deeply. Two important ways stress reduction will help you and your child. With less stress your child will be much more successful in school and get better grades. And you will be a happier and much more relaxed mom. You will be much more effective with your child, your family responsibilities, and if you work, with your job. Empty nester: After high school your child goes to work, job training, or the University. They are now pretty much on their own. And again any little crisis in their life hits you directly, both in your heart and in your pocketbook. Believe me, I have gone through it myself as a dad. In all these phases of your life and motherhood, stresses can spiral out of control. Without a system to keep yourself and your child or children relaxed and more successful trouble is waiting for you. Now you will get through it as millions of mothers do, but at what cost? What can good stress management do for you. Since 80% of illness is related to stress, you and your child can stay healthier and be more effective. Your child gets better grades and is happy in school. What a load off your shoulders. You will stay younger and have more energy for the joys of motherhood and the rest of your life. You will be a better mom and both you and your child will have a better life. Isn't that worth learning a new tool, actually the most effective tool available, to reduce the stress and the difficult side of being a mom in this modern age? I put it all in a book for you, easy to read, fun to learn why you have stress and how to get rid of it. This is a lively book with lots of personal stories illustrating the science which is a key to your well-being and health for you and your family. There is surprising new information most people don't know about. You will be way ahead of the rest. Readers tell me it is an easy and exciting read and so valuable in practical life.
